Yesterday morning on my drive to work, I listened to a weather report on the radio. The newscaster was calling in from Oklahoma to say that the temperatures were in the single digits. With the wind-chill, it was -19 degrees.
It made me very grateful to be living in California.
I've been taking lunchtime walks around the duck pond at my office the past few days, just to take it in- the sun, the flowers, the ducks and geese paddling around and performing their daily ablutions. It makes it difficult to believe it's February.
It's just heavenly. I'm crossing my fingers that it stays this way for the weekend...I'm dreaming of a Saturday picnic!
